报告摘要:
Coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEνNS) is a process in which low-energy neutrinos scatter off the entire nucleus. This process was first observed by the COHERENT collaboration in 2017 using a pion-decay-at-rest neutrino source. The observation of CEνNS is a milestone in neutrino physics, and opens a new window to probe neutrino and nuclear physics at low energies. In this talk, I will discuss how we can use CEνNS as a tool to explore light new physics and nuclear physics.
个人简介:
刘宏恺,2021年在匹兹堡大学取得博士学位,目前在以色列理工学院从事博士后工作。目前主要的研究兴趣是中微子核子相干散射的应用和对右手中微子拓展的标准模型有效场论的唯象研究。同时也对引力波物理,暗物质,轴子,和散射振幅的研究感兴趣。
